Neels’ relentless pursuit of perfection and using his hands to infuse each blade with character and soul, is what drives his uncompromising passion for the craft - perfectly embodying the Japanese principle of Kodowari. For him, the art of smithing is all about the experience, attention to detail, and the thousand tasks that go into one blade.
CRAFTSMANSHIP
As a craftsman, Neels respects the time, patience, effort and design that go into creating his masterpieces. Perfection takes time, and working with formidable elements of nature such as fire can be dangerous, if not respected. Fire has the power to both create and destroy; in smithing, fire helps make the metal pliable and then strong, thus bringing togethmasterpieceplete harmony of the elements.
