Mazda & Takealot Competition - SEP 2024

  1. Competitions are organized by Mazda Southern Africa and its designated agencies (“Organizers”) hereinafter referred to as MSA.
  2. Competitions are open to permanent residents and citizens of South Africa over the age of 18 years, except any employee, director, member, partner, agent or consultant or any person directly or indirectly who controls or is controlled by the relevant agencies and/or immediate family members of any employee, director, member, partner, agent or consultant of or person indirectly or directly in control or controlled by the Organizers, their advertising agencies, suppliers or dealers (“Disqualified Persons”).
  3. By entering the MSA Competitions, all participants and winners agree to be bound by the rules that will be interpreted by the Organizers, whose decision regarding any dispute will be final and binding. The Organizers reserve the right to amend, modify, change, postpone, suspend, or cancel the Competition and any prizes (which have not yet been subject to a draw), or any aspect thereof, without notice at any time, for any reason which the Organizers reasonably deem necessary.
  4. Participants enter competitions by correctly completing the specified entry mechanic for a valid entry. An entry will be valid once the required information has been supplied, and if the participant remains opted in for email communications with Mazda. Fields to be provided:

  1. The competition rules:
  • All Participants must be over the age of 18 years to participate in MSA competitions.
  • Only valid entries will be considered for the prize.
  • Winning participants will be notified via e-mail within 48 HOURS after the draw has taken place. The email notification will require a response from the participant to confirm the email is valid, after which the voucher prize will be emailed to the participant.
  • MSA will not be held responsible for SMS charges, data charges, or phone costs incurred while participating in this competition.
  • MSA will not be held liable for entries not received for any reason and will not be responsible for network connectivity or hardware issues experienced while participating.
  • Winners will be required to provide documentation in line with legislated FICA requirements, including proof of identification, and residence.
  • The Organizers will conduct one prize draw over the competition period – which will be for 20 unique individuals to each win a voucher of a R1000.  Winners are selected by a random draw that will make use of a digital randomizer tool which will randomly select the lucky 20 winners from all valid entries received.
  1. The participant agrees that we may use their content on all Mazda Southern Africa social pages.
  2. Participants may enter the MSA Competitions only once.
  3. Prize vouchers are not allowed under any circumstances to be returned or redeemed as cash. Should any technical issues be experienced with the vouchers issued, the winners must contact Takealot support directly.
  4. Entries that are unclear, illegible, submitted via an incorrect entry mechanism, contain errors or are from Disqualified Persons, will be declared invalid.
  5. Mazda Dealer staff are excluded from participating in this competition
  6. The Organizers may require the winners to complete and submit an information disclosure agreement and indemnification to enable the Promoters to ensure compliance with these rules and the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (as amended). Should any winner refuse or be unable to comply with this rule for any reason, such winner will be deemed to have rejected the Prize and it shall revert to the Organizers.
  7. All participants and the winners, as the case may be, indemnify the Organizers, their advertising agencies, advisers, nominated agents, suppliers, dealers, its affiliates and/or associated companies against any and all claims of any nature whatsoever arising out of and/or from their participation in any way howsoever in any MSA Competitions (including, as a result of any act or omission, whether as a result of gross negligence, misrepresentation, misconduct or otherwise on the part of the Promoters) and/or use of the Prizes.
  8. The Organizers may request the winners to be identified, photographed, and published in printed media or social media, when accepting their Prizes and/or after having received their Prizes.

  10. The participant consents that MSA may hold and process personal information of the participant and may share the personal information to other parties where necessary. All information gathered, obtained and or used by MSA will be dealt with in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013, the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008, and the Promotion of Access to Information Act 2 of 2000).
